Value Engineering

At K2, it is a priority to keep up-to-date on new products in the industry and current material prices.  You may come to us with the design of the building you want, but once its priced, find out it does not fit within your budget.  We will then examine alternative materials that will still give you the look and function you desire, but will cost less than the original specs.  This is a prime example of value engineering.

Value engineering offers a significant advantage in design-build projects as well.  By working closely with the Architect and Engineer, we can help you determine the systems and materials that will give you the best value possible.  The cost savings will be designed in the first set of drawings, and you avoid the risk of having to develop numerous sets of drawings in order to fit the project into your budget.

Don't know whether you want to use the traditional construction process or go with design/build?  Maybe this article can help:  "A Decision You Didn't Know You Had"
